Programme notes:
The Widmore Guitar Ensemble enjoys playing music in a wide variety of styles from rock to renaissance and from Bach to the Beatles. The ensemble began as a group of guitar students playing together in a Bromley adult education class discovering the classical guitar repertoire.
They soon found there was a much larger world of music that could be transcribed for the instrument and set about building entertaining programmes drawn from many different genres.
Under conductor Paul Brown the ensemble has now played in many local concerts and has won numerous awards in music festivals.
