January 21st 2017 Meeting

There was a good turnout of eleven for this second meeting of the year. Ahead of the Bromley Music Festival we thought we'd better see how Tangomania was doing as we hadn't played it for a while. It's a good job we did - we had become a bit rusty! We concentrated on that piece for most of the evening, throwing in a smattering of Fauré's Romance which we will also need for the BMF.

We were happy to welcome a new member this evening, Shaun Bullard, who helpfully filled a gap in our ensemble parts for Tangomania and also played a solo for us (see below).

The break-time refreshments were provided as usual by Trevor - many thanks as always Trev!

There was a great and varied selection of solo performances this evening:

Marion Banjo Bill (Gary Ryan)
Freddie We Have all The Time In The World (John Barry)
Trevor Moon River (Henry Mancini)
Andrew Guárdame Las Vacas (Narváez)
My Lady Hunsdon's Puffe (John Dowland)
Shaun Sons de Carrilhoes (João Pernambuco)
John Julia Florida (Barrios)
