Lute Society Update

They are busy little customers at the Lute Society!! Goes to show that 'you can't tie a good lutenist down unless you nick his strings', (as John Dowland was once heard to remark ..)

Check out the dates below!

1. Don't miss the very last biennial Lute Society Lute Exhibition, Hackney, London, this weekend April 4th–5th

If you have ever told yourself that you ought to get to London to go along to our biennial lute exhibition in Hackney, east London, but never quite get round to it, then you really should not miss the forthcoming exhibition, as it will be the last to be held there. Our host, Gordon Gregory, feels that it is time for a change, perhaps for such events to be held elsewhere, we know not where. This last exhibition will be held at Gordon Gregory’s house, 18 Meynell Crescent, Hackney, London E9 7AS, on Saturday April 4th from 11.00 am to 6.00 pm, and Sunday April 5th from 11.00 to 4.00 pm. Contact: gordon@gordongregory.co.uk and see the exhibition webpage: www.lutesoc.co.uk/exhibition.htm

2. Lute Society meeting, Swedenborg Hall, Bloomsbury, London Saturday April 18th

If you happen to be in London, come along! Nigel North is giving the main recital, and we will have a full range of French Lute Society music on sale, plus our own new book of 70 Easy Pieces.
