After the interval, contributions came from Marion Davis, Len Ivell, Tom Rimmer, Trevor Pike, Jenny Wormald and Dave Hampton. Tom Rimmer and Richard Frenkel also played a couple of duets. This most welcome abundance of individual playing meant that the remaining session of ensemble music was confined to the final twenty minutes of the meeting.
However, taken together with the first half of the meeting, Ray Butcher did a sterling job and ensured that we all really enjoyed ourselves. There is no doubt that Ray has a flair for leading ensembles, and the banter that always ensues, ensures that none of the ensemble members ever feel conspicuous.
