Your correspondent was absent as he had an urgent engagement with a Beerbike in Berlin. Look closely...he is hidden down the back...and avoiding his share of pedalling!!
On a personal note I think it is a worthy investment for the BGS!!
In the meantime, I am obliged, as usual, to our well known chief article of furniture for his reflections on the October Meeting.
The October meeting was well-attended and, with the exception of members’ musical contributions listed below, was devoted entirely to the rehearsal of our Beckenham and Maidstone Festivals repertoire. We rehearsed very hard and, if we do not do well at either or both Festivals, it certainly won’t be for want of either practice or dedication. We didn’t have coffee until nearly 8:15!!
I am very pleased with the spirit in which we have approached these two Festivals and the strong desire on the part of every participant to achieve an excellent performance. Shirley and Tessa reminded us of times and venues and Tessa has very generously invited us to her home for some refreshments after the Maidstone Festival.
