This evening's meeting showed further promising signs of post-lockdown rejuvenation for the society as we welcomed two returning members, Alan Green and Raymond Batson, and two guests, Richard Frenkel and Tony Anderson, whom we hope will want to stay with us. As an ensemble, we played Four Dances from Handel’s opera ‘Alcina’.
After the break, we were treated to the following solo performances
Tom | Bossa Triste (Carlo Domeniconi) Bolero (Bartolomé Calatuyud) |
Marion | Summer Solstice Song (Lee Sollory) Legend (Peter Nuttall) |
Ray | Flores de Primavera (Joep Wanders) |
Tony | Studies No.4 & 5 (Fernando Sor, arr Segovia) |
We look forward to welcoming even more members and guests at our next meeting on Saturday the 18th of September. See you there!
