The nine members present tonight worked on –
- Spanish Dance No.5 Granados
- Flower Duet from Lakma Delibes
- Lute Concerto in D, second movement Vivaldi
For each piece, after a run through, Cornelius led the guitar parts separately before putting the whole back together. This meant we could better understand the structure of the piece and how it all fitted.
After a break for refreshments and chat, we were treated to solos from -
David | Prelude and le Gigue (Robert de Visée) |
Jim | Aeolian Harp (Stephen Goss) Stanton Moor (Peter Wrieden) |
Cornelius | El Noi de la Mare (Miguel Llobet) |
Eduardo | Sofia vals Pasilla (Eduardo Gonzalez) Milonga a Cacho (Eduardo Gonzalez) |
Derek | Gaelic Song (Peter Nuttall) |
A romp through the Adams Family Theme by Vic Mizzy and the Munsters Theme by Jack Marshall brought our busy October session to a spooky end.
We would love to welcome you to our next session– Saturday 18th November
