It is such a joy to be able to play together after the long enforced gap. Our regular meetings have resumed, gathering once a month – on the third Saturday – at 6.00 for 6,30 pm in St Mark’s Church Hall.
Players are very welcome to pop in and meet our friendly group which is what Viv and Claudia did this evening. We do hope they will join us and participate regularly.
The ensemble focussed on playing two quartets of the Connemara Suite. Cornelius helped each part to come in on time – not as easy as we thought!
After a break for refreshments, we sat back to listen to solos performed by –
Ray | Songs my Mother Taught Me (Dvořák) Dreamer (Osbourne) |
Viv | Eine Kleine Nachmusik (Mozart) |
Cornelius | Variations on a Theme by Mozart (Sor) |
Marion | Spice Trail (Ryan) |
As well as the Connemara Suite, we will play In Dulci Jubilo during our next session which is on Saturday 20th November.
See you then.
