BGS Meeting 6th July 2019

With Kate counting us in, seven players tackled The Dargason finale of a Gustave Holst suite that we had started in June. There was discussion about how to count this piece because of changes between 3/4 and 6/8. Kate kindly provided refreshments in the break, after which we were treated to the following solo performances:

Victoria	Prelude Suite 1 (Bach)  Julia Florida (Barrios)
Antonio	Quatro Mazurke (F. Tarrega)
Kate	Havre Gosselin (Vincent Lindsey Clark)

The evening closed with a run through of Waltz 11 from Suite for Variety Stage Orchestra by Dmitri Shostakovich.
